A very successful multi-project day

February 9, 2009

For the first time, we had three projects going at once today. We glued up five frames for 12″ x 24″ mattes. We also put the finishing paint on the interior of an oak corner cabinet, and we continued the processing of the wood for the bird feeder.

We were hoping to get all of the wood ripped and cross-cut for the bird feeder today but we were using the outfeed table as our glue-up station. We will start ripping tomorrow morning.

Google SketchUp

June 13, 2008

Shasta Junction will utilize Google Sketchup to standardize future woodworking designs. The primary reasons for this change are the costs, platform independence, and robust capabilities of the software. Clients can now get their furniture designs via Email from Shasta Junction.

This change will allow us to continue improving our customer satisfaction standards. We feel that the clearer we can make the project and the earlier we can make the project clear, the happier the customer will be.
