Our First Marketing Campaign

I have been reading a lot of books about marketing. I want to see if I can apply what I have been reading to our new Woodworking/Craft business. I have come up with our first campaign. I am going to try it out of the recipients of the 20 Chicken Coops we just made.
The campaign basically boils down to this. If the existing customers can send new business to us, we will reward the existing customers with substantial discounts on their future purchases.
My analysis has shown that most of our customers will continue to purchase items from us once they have purchased the first one. Our primary products are unpainted hardwood furniture that are then painted by the buyer. While they have several locations to purchase their furniture, we differentiate ourselves by out superior quality, minimal use of plywood and fasteners, and our low price. Basically, we produce heirloom-quality furniture at the same price that they can purchase something that was hastily made,
Since they will likely purchase from us in the future, it seems that they might be willing to bring a friend along on their next purchase. We are now offering a 25% discount on their future purchase, up to the price of the new customers product. This discount CAN BE combined. In other words, they could bring enough new customers along that there must purchase from us is completely free!
I am hoping that this kind of campaign can be successful, even in these tough economic times.
